Jay Vora was more than a successful entrepreneur. A husband, a father, a friend, and a fighter who lost his battle to cancer at the age of 44, Jay left behind inspiring memories and created a lasting impact on everyone he met. We might have lost Jay, but his legacy lives on. To me he was more like a brother, someone who’s loss I may never come to terms with.
The Jay Vora Foundation is a self-funded initiative that was founded by us as a family in honor of my brother in law to raise cancer awareness, fuel small business entrepreneurs and serve the people just like Jay Vora did.
Cancer has killed dreams, stolen opportunities and destroyed families. Through this foundation, we seek to educate more people about early detection and give them the financial capacity to face this ordeal.
The Foundation works towards raising awareness, raising funds for research, and helping affected families find the right treatment and medication to battle the disease. We also aim to host events that support entrepreneurs and small business owners through events and workshops – which was always Jay’s dream.
EACH OF MY VENTURES CONTRIBUTES A PERCENTAGE OF PROCEEDS TOWARDS CHARITABLE INITIATIVES AND ORGANIZATIONS EVERY MONTH. FROM GIVING CASH TO TOILET CLEANERS, FOOD TO WORKERS, SPONSORING A CHILD’S EDUCATION AND EVEN CONTRIBUTING TOWARDS BUILDING AN ORPHANAGE IN NEPAL; WE’VE DONE IT ALL.
My aim like Jay’s aim has always been to bring good karma and good deeds to business and life. And the Foundation and Barot’s ventures work closely together to make this happen.
